Join us in this exciting new competition! This event has two elements. You can register for a max power element (raw or single ply bench shirt) or a rep off element or both (raw only).

The morning session will be the 1 rep max element. Like a regular competition, you’ll have three attempts to get your highest successful attempt. This will be with commands. You’ll get the bar in your hands and wait for a Start command. Lower the bar to your chest, where it must become motionless. The head ref will say “Press.” Push the bar to a lock out position above your chest and wait for the head ref to say “Rack.” Return the bar to the rack. Your head, butt and shoulders must remain on the bench during the entire lift.

**NEW** One rep max with a slingshot! This will be just like the raw or equipped one rep max but done wearing a slingshot (no rams).Yes, you must pause on your chest.

The afternoon session will be a bench press rep off. The options you can sign up for are:

Men

·       As many reps as you can with your bodyweight

·       As many reps as you can with 2 plates (225lbs)

Women

·       As many reps as you can with 50% of your bodyweight

·       As many reps as you can with 1 plate (135lbs)

You may register for all 4 elements (1 rep max + 1 rep max with slingshot + reps with bodyweight + reps with 2 (1) plate) or 2 elements (ex: reps with bodyweight + 1 rep max) or just one element (ex: 1 rep max).

There are three age categories: Teen (15 and under), Open (16-39), Masters (40+)

The schedule will be set up so you have time to rest and recover if you chose all four elements.

Placing for the 1 rep max events will be done by Wilks formula. We will award the top 3 places.

Placings for the Bodyweight reps will be determined by who does the most reps. If there is a tie, we will use the Wilks formula. The higher Wilks score will determine the winner. We will award the top 3 places.

Placings for the 1 or 2 plate reps will be determined by who does the most reps. If there is a tie, we will use the Wilks formula. The higher Wilks score will determine the winner. We will award the top 3 places.
